Employment Law Breakfast Briefings - BOOK NOW - March 2009

It is quite understandable that in this current economic climate many employers are focusing on immediate commercial concerns. The employment team at Tughans has therefore developed a short series of briefings to update employers on the types of issues that may be relevant to their business today.

Overview
The Breakfast Briefings will take place at Tughans in Marlborough House, 30 Victoria Street, Belfast and will commence at 7.30am with breakfast and a short welcome. A 30 minute briefing session will take place, followed by a Q&A Session and an opportunity to talk with individual members of the team. We expect the session to finish before 9.00am.

This briefing will look at the options available to employers in seeking to rationalise business costs in these challenging times to include amending terms and conditions of employment, lay-off, short-time working and redundancy.

Briefing 3 - How is TUPE Relevant to your Business Today? (Wednesday, 2 September 2009, 7.30am - 9.00am)
This briefing considers how TUPE affects your business today, whether it is the sale and purchase of a business or insourcing/outsourcing of a contract, including looking at new developments in this area and the application of TUPE to sales and purchases of insolvent businesses.
