Governor of the Bank of England visits Northern Ireland - April 2009

Leading Belfast law firm, Tughans, was delighted to host an evening reception for the Governor of the Bank of England, Mr Mervyn King, on his recent visit to Belfast. 

A small number of invited guests attended the evening in Deane’s Brasserie and Ian Coulter, managing partner of Tughans, commented, “We are very privileged to have met with the Governor and to hear first hand about some of the challenges currently faced in managing the UK economy.  A number of monetary policy strategies have been put in place by the Bank of England and it was very useful for everyone in attendance to hear about the thinking behind them direct from the Governor himself.”
