Vicky Dummigan was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002 having graduated from Lancaster University with a Bachelor of Laws degree. She joined Tughans in 2000 and became a Partner in the Corporate Department in 2010.
Her practice covers a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, specialising in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs/buy-ins, venture capital and private equity investments.
She has a particular interest in providing corporate finance advice to local technology companies and their venture capital and private equity funders. In recent years she has also advised a number of corporate groups in more traditional sectors on complex group restructurings with international aspects. As many of her clients are family businesses, Vicky has significant experience of dealing with shareholder matters, corporate governance issues and succession planning for family businesses, and understands the particular challenges of successfully passing a family business from one generation to the next. She also has experience of the use of limited partnership and unit trust structures in the context of wealth management planning and property investment.
