Experience
The firm has played a leading role in the completion of some of the most significant property developments of recent years in Northern Ireland. Many of these ventures presented complex legal issues where our ability to find creative solutions to problems was important to the eventual success of the development.
Planning and construction law are important in all development projects and therefore we have lawyers on our team with considerable experience in these areas.
Banking and finance are essential components of most commercial property transactions and the Property Department has wide experience of this area of law. Indeed, the firm acts for a number of the major UK and European lending institutions in all aspects of funding.
Disputes can, and do occasionally arise, and the firm has experience in advising and representing developers and public authorities where dispute resolution is required.
All-Ireland, UK and international links
Supported by colleagues in our associate firm in Dublin, William Fry Solicitors, we are able to advise on matters with an all-Ireland dimension. We are, through our connections with City of London firms, able to access specialist advice in relation to taxation and stamp duty saving schemes. We are also well placed to help with complex multi-jurisdictional problems, having links with experienced lawyers in a number of overseas countries including the United States of America.
