Ian Coulter
Ian Coulter graduated from the University of Reading with a Bachelor of Laws degree. He joined City of London firm Rowe & Maw, qualifying with them in 1996. He moved to Tughans in 1997 and became a Partner in the Corporate Department in 2001.
Ian specialises in mergers and acquisitions (particularly cross border transactions), disposals and shareholder issues. In addition he provides advice to information technology companies on issues such as funding and venture capital matters. He acts as company secretary for several IT clients and also for Momentum (The Northern Ireland ICT Federation). More generally Ian is a visiting lecturer in Company Law at the Institute for Legal Studies, Belfast and contributes to a number of publications on IT matters. He is also a committee member of Pro-Help, a Northern Ireland pro-bono organisation. He is named by Chambers in their 2008 Guide to the UK Legal Profession as a leader in Corporate Finance and is described as ' "Commercially driven" Ian Coulter is "extremely able and gets deals done." '
