John-George Willis
John-George Willis was admitted as a Solicitor in 1984 following a Bachelor of Laws degree at The Queen's University, Belfast. He joined Tughans in 1987 and became a Partner five years later.
Today he leads the Corporate Department, bringing to it an extensive knowledge of mergers and acquisitions and management buy-outs. In recent years, John-George has acted for many of Northern Ireland's information technology companies on merger and acquisition work but primarily on major venture capital funding. His other interest is in the field of agribusiness where he acts as corporate legal adviser to a wide range of businesses in Ireland, North and South, including two of the largest agricultural co-operative organisations in Northern Ireland. In addition, he is a visiting lecturer in Company Law at Queen's University, Belfast. He is recognised as a leader in the field of Corporate Finance in the Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession 2008, where he described as having a "brilliant way with clients and is always extremely professional."
