Tughans is pleased to share that we have been shortlisted across several categories at the Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards 2026. This year’s shortlist reflects the continued strength of our Corporate team and the central role we play in major transactions across Northern Ireland and further afield.

 

The Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards celebrate the firms and professionals driving mergers and acquisitions, funding transactions and wider corporate activity in the local market. Our shortlisting across multiple categories our breadth of work and our continued contribution to significant dealmaking activity.

 

Shortlisted categories

 

  • Corporate Law Firm of the Year
    Recognising consistent performance and leadership in Corporate Law.

 

  • Dealmaker of the Year
    Ben Sims, Corporate Partner, Tughans.

 

  • Emerging Dealmaker of the Year
    Brendan Donnelly, Corporate Director, Tughans.

 

  • Deal of the Year (over £10m)
    Recognising our capability in managing a number of large‑scale transactions including the acquisition of Finnebrogue by Sofina Foods Europe and the Investment in CWC Group by BGF.

 

  • Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year

Recognising our involvement in four key private equity and venture capital transactions, including the Investment in Cathedral Eye Clinic by Cardinal Capital, the Investment in New Life Teeth by 57 Stars LLC, the Investment in Plotbox by Serent Capital and the investment in Lowe Rental Corporation by MML Keystone.

 

  • Deal of the Year (£2.5m–£10m)

Acknowledging our role in the acquisition of CB Paper Sacks (formerly MM Bangor) by Cordovan Capital.

 

  • Deal of the Year (below £2.5m)
    For our involvement in four notable investment transactions, including the acquisition of 50% of the share capital of Larne Football Community by Redball Global FC Partners, the investment in GMG Software Ltd by Techstart Ventures, the investment in Cumulus Neuroscience by Whiterock and the investment in Neurovalens by Whiterock.

 

Our shortlisting this year reflects a sustained period of strong performance, including our recognition as Corporate Law Firm of the Year in 2023 and our ten year standing as Northern Ireland’s most active corporate law firm in the Experian MarketIQ M&A Review.

 

The winners will be announced at the Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards ceremony next month. We look forward to the event and congratulate all fellow nominees.
