Free Legal Clinic for Start-ups

As official upSTART sponsor this year, we will be running a free legal clinic at this year’s Digital DNA.

Tughans Head of IT & Contracts, Adrian O’Connell said: “We are delighted to continue our support of upSTART at Digital DNA this year. Through the legal clinics we aim to assist start-ups in navigating any legal barriers they might face in terms of seeking investment, as well as providing specialist assistance with key legal issues.” The clinic will involve solicitors from Tughans’ Corporate and IT & Contracts teams offering dedicated time to upSTART participants, or other start-ups attending Digital DNA across the two days.

Simon Bailie, CEO of Digital DNA, said: “Tughans’ start-up legal clinic really demonstrates their commitment to the local digital and technology sectors. With this year’s upSTART pitch competition having a particular focus on innovation, as well as the potential to scale and grow outside of Northern Ireland, the specialist guidance these fledgling companies will receive will undoubtedly play an important part in their future growth and development.”

All participants in the legal clinic will be automatically entered into a random prize draw for:

  1. A set of Apple® Airpods with charging station, an
  2. A voucher for £1,000 in free legal services from Tughans (redeemable in respect of corporate and commercial services only, for a year from the date of the prize draw).*

If you or your start-up are attending Digital DNA, and want to get involved, please feel free to email marketing@tughans.com or call Caterina on +44 (0) 28 9082 0509 to schedule a time in advance. Tughans are also happy to consider any specific start-up queries in advance (so as to maximise the value of any scheduled meetings), and these can also be sent to marketing@tughans.com.
