Tughans Launches Trainee Solicitor Scheme for 2017

Tughans has launched its Trainee Solicitor Scheme which will seek to recruit five Trainees to commence employment in September 2017. This will add to the five Trainees recruited by the firm in September 2016 and as part of the Trainee Solicitor Scheme at Tughans, the firm will pay the professional course fees incurred by Trainees who attend the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.

Tughans is a market leading Northern Ireland law firm ranked in Tier 1 by leading legal directories including Chambers and Legal 500. The firm is also ranked No. 1 in the Experian Deal and Advisor league table 2015 and is the Insider Corporate Law Firm of the year 2016.

Tughans are authorised by the Law Society of Northern Ireland to provide training to students who have obtained a place at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS Scheme) and are also approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to provide training to students who have completed the Legal Practice Course in England and Wales (LPC Scheme).

James Donnelly, Training Partner at Tughans commented, “We are delighted to launch our Trainee Solicitor Scheme and would encourage early applications. Our scheme provides structured training which sees Trainees experience six separate training seats in different practice areas across a two year period. Importantly, we also have a very strong record of being able to offer newly qualified solicitor positions to Trainees at the end of their training.”

Application forms are currently being accepted and are available from www.tughans.com/careers/with the deadline for completed applications 31 December 2016.
