Tughans to take part in Will Aid

Tughans is delighted to announce that it will be taking part in this year’s Will Aid campaign.

Millions of people in the UK do not currently have a Will and Will Aid is an opportunity for people to put that right whilst raising vital funds for charities benefitting some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

During November, Fiona Kirkpatrick, a leading private client lawyer from the firm, will volunteer her time and expertise to prepare a Will for participating individuals. Tughans will waive its professional fee and instead, participants will be invited to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid. All donations will be used to support the vital work of nine UK charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (N. Ireland).

The suggested minimum donation for a basic will under the scheme is £100 for a single will and £180 for a pair of mirror wills for a couple. Where a person dies without having made a Will, his or her estate may not be dealt with in the way he or she would have wished. Having a valid Will in place provides peace of mind in knowing that one’s wishes are properly recorded and loved ones are cared for. This is an excellent opportunity to have a professionally drafted Will drawn up whilst making a difference in the community and further afield.

If you wish to take part, please contact the firm to arrange an appointment with Fiona Kirkpatrick during November by email fiona.kirkpatrick@tughans.com or by phone (028) 9055 3300.
