Gail qualified in 2003 and has 19 years’ experience acting in all aspects of defence personal injury litigation with a wide and varied caseload in the High Court and County Courts. Gail has acted on behalf of local, national and multinational insurance companies, public bodies, public utilities, private utilities and self-insured companies in County Court and the High Court. Gail has technical knowledge and a breadth of experience in defence personal injury litigation including employers’ liability (EL), public liability (PL) and motor claims. Gail deals with all areas of litigation process from initial investigation stages, court procedures, negotiations, court hearing and appeal. Gail represents clients acting with sensitivity to proactively to bring matters to a conclusion as soon as reasonably possible.

 

Gail regularly defends claims arising from accidents in the workplace, claims involving defective work equipment, manual handling, occupational stress, bullying and harassment, trip and slip cases acting on behalf of utility providers and shopping centres. Gail also has experience in defending industrial disease claims in particular noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) claims, hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), NI Health and Safety Executive investigations/prosecutions. Gail has provided advice to clients and dealt with litigated matters on their behalf involving issues in relation to the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR.

 

Gail sits on the committees of National FOIL SFT EL and FOIL NI.
