Harrison began his legal career in 2012 at a General Practice Law Firm, gaining experience across a variety of areas of law, including Plaintiff Litigation. After graduating from university in 2016 and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2018, he joined a leading Belfast law firm where he specialised in defence litigation, with a particular focus on Occupational Disease Claims.  In this role Harrison managed a substantial caseload which also included Motor cases, Slips/Trips and Accidents at Work.

Following a brief tenure at a Plaintiff Litigation Firm, Harrison joined the Insurance Litigation Team at Tughans, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a balanced perspective from both sides of litigation.

Harrison’s practice areas encompasses Motor, Slips/Trips, Accidents at Work, and Occupational Disease claims.

In the area of Occupational Disease, he specialises in Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS), and Asbestos-Related Illnesses. He has acted for some of the UK’s largest insurers and also litigated these types of claims on behalf of Plaintiffs. This niche area remains a particular interest and focus in his role at Tughans.

In Motor litigation, Harrison has experience in both High Court and County Court proceedings, handling cases involving complex injuries, vehicle damage, and credit hire disputes. He has also represented major UK supermarkets and insurers in Slips/Trips and Accidents at Work claims, often involving intricate liability and jurisdictional issues.
