Kevin studied Law and French at Trinity College, Dublin, before completing a Masters in Innovation, Technology and Law at the University of Edinburgh. He qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2012 and has since qualified in England and Wales and Republic of Ireland. He actively practises in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Kevin completed the Law Society of Northern Ireland Advanced Advocacy Course in 2016, and regularly utilises his advocacy skills to assist clients before the Courts and Tribunals across Ireland.

 

Kevin has been involved in the following key areas:

  • Defending medical practitioners before regulatory bodies such as the General Dental / Medical Council, Nursing and Midwifery Council, Northern Ireland Social Care Council, and the Irish Medical Council.
  • Defending claims against medical professionals, often relating to high value claims for severe injuries.
  • Defending Dentists in relation to claims against them.
  • Appearing on behalf of Clinicians at Inquests.
  • Acting for a Core Participant in a healthcare related Public Inquiry
  • Acting for clinicians in respect of internal hospital investigations
